Vū Studio Modules

Vū Studio is organized into modules (also called apps). Each one has a tile on the Home Screen, and most can also be found from the Home search bar. This page explains what each module is for, so new operators know where to go for each job.

Getting Around

Everything starts at the Home Screen: https://one.vu.studio/home. Click the Vū Studio icon in the top-left at any time to return to it.

From Home you can:

  • Open a module — click its tile in the Apps section.
  • Search — type in Search experiences, assets, maps, templates… (or press ⌘K on Mac / Ctrl+K on Windows) to jump to a page, folder, or asset.
  • Ask Vū AI — choose the Ask AI row at the top of the search suggestions.
  • Bookmark modules you use most — hover a tile and click Bookmark. Your first bookmarks also appear as links in the top navigation bar.
  • Reopen recent work — use the Recents row.

See App Home Screen → for the full tour.

A few controls are always available in the top bar, whatever module you are in:

The tiles you see depend on your plan and permissions. Modules your account doesn't have access to are hidden.

Core Modules

These are the modules every operator uses.

Asset Library

Access, organize and manage your assets.

The Asset Library is where all of your media lives — your uploads, your team's shared folders, the Vū Library of ready-made backgrounds and loops, and content from connected services like Frame.io or Google Drive. From here you upload files, organize them into folders, share them, and cast them to a display.

Display Dashboard

View analytics and real-time insights.

The Display Dashboard shows every player on your account and lets you control them together — see which are online, connect to them, build layouts across several screens, manage player groups and themes, and use Sleep All / Wake Up All and Clear All Displays. Its Fleet view lists all players with per-player actions such as Rename…, Identify, and Restart player app….

Experiences

Build and explore immersive experiences.

Experiences package content into launchable, branded Sessions — for example, a set of scenes, videos, web pages, applications, and canvas designs for a specific tour or briefing. Operators open an Experience and launch each item to the wall with one tap. Passive Mode turns an Experience into a hands-off loop.

Scheduled Tasks

Schedule tasks across Vū Studio.

The scheduler plays content, wakes or sleeps displays, and reserves a wall at set times — once, daily, weekly, or on a custom repeat. Use it to automate opening and closing times so screens are on when people arrive and asleep overnight.

Settings

Settings for the Vū Media Server you're connected to: connect to a player, check for updates, send logs, restart the media server, and (for admins) customize the splash screen and screen saver, and set each player's name and Demo or Session mode.

Creator Modules

The Creator Apps view on Home groups the tools for building content.

Canvas

Start a new 2D, 3D or Map experience.

Canvas Designer is a drag-and-drop editor for building multi-page, interactive designs — welcome screens, agendas, touch-screen menus, and slide shows — that you can present full-screen or cast to a wall.

Turn photos into one screen and cast it.

Gallery arranges a set of photos and videos into a single animated grid — ideal for event photo walls, step-and-repeat backdrops, and team mosaics.

Map Creator and Globe Creator

Build and run interactive map and globe experiences.

Map Creator and Globe Creator build touch-friendly interactive maps and globes for kiosks and walls. They open in a new browser tab and sign you in with your Vū Studio account.

  • Open them: Home → Map Creator or Globe Creator (Creator Apps view)
  • Learn more: Interactive Map →

SceneForge

Design and build virtual scenes.

SceneForge is a desktop pre-visualization app for planning and previewing virtual production scenes before a shoot. It needs a SceneForge license.

Vū AI Modules

Vū AI features use your plan's AI tokens. If Vū AI is turned off for your account, these modules are hidden.

Vū AI

Generate, analyze and accelerate with AI.

A chat assistant that knows Vū Studio. Ask it to find assets, generate images, build or edit canvas designs, summarize documents, and take actions in the app for you.

Automations

Schedule and automate recurring AI tasks.

Set Vū AI tasks to run on a schedule — for example, a recurring summary or report.

Microsites

Create and publish AI-built microsites.

Have Vū AI build a web page, whitepaper, dashboard, or slide deck that you can share with a link. Microsites are private until you share them.

Vū Intelligence

Turn meetings into live insights and mind maps.

Vū Intelligence captures a meeting or workshop — from the room microphone or a meeting bot — and turns it into a live transcript, insights, and mind maps you can cast to the wall. (Previously called Facilitator.) Available on accounts with Vū Intelligence enabled.

Brands

The typefaces, colours and rules Vū AI builds in.

Store your brand's fonts, colors, and rules so that what Vū AI creates stays on-brand. Available on accounts with brand guidelines enabled.

Controls Inside a Connected Session

Once you're connected to a player, a few more controls become available. They aren't separate modules, but operators use them constantly:
