Your First Playback

You're connected to your display — now let's get something on screen.

Playing from the Asset Library​

Vū Studio includes a curated library of backgrounds, loops, and environments you can play immediately:

  1. Click Library in the left sidebar
  2. Navigate to Asset Libraries
  3. Browse the available collections
  4. Click any asset thumbnail
  5. Click Play or Cast

The content appears on your display immediately.

Uploading Your Own Media​

To play your own files:

  1. In the Library, click the Add Media button (➕)
  2. Select Upload files
  3. Choose your image or video file
  4. Wait for processing to complete (usually 5–30 seconds)
  5. Click the processed asset
  6. Click Play

Controlling Playback​

Once content is playing, controls appear in the right panel:

  • Pause / Resume — pause and resume video playback
  • Stop — stop playback and return to the splash screen
  • Volume — adjust audio level
  • Brightness — adjust display brightness
  • Loop — toggle looping for videos

The Splash Screen​

When no content is playing, the display shows the Splash Screen — Vū's default idle view with the QR code, player ID, and system info. You'll return here after stopping playback or when content finishes without looping.

Saving a Scene​

Happy with what you've set up? Save it as a scene so you can recall it instantly later:

  1. Click Save Scene (bookmark icon) in the toolbar
  2. Name it and choose a folder
  3. Click Save

Next time you want this look, just click the scene tile and everything is restored instantly.
