Experiences

An Experience is a structured presentation program — a curated sequence of scenes, media, and settings that plays out in a defined way. Experiences are ideal for briefing centers, experience centers, showrooms, and any venue where you need a polished, repeatable show that staff can run without deep technical knowledge.

Creating an Experience

  1. Go to Experiences in the left sidebar
  2. Click New Experience
  3. Give it a name and description
  4. Add assets and scenes to the experience
  5. Configure transitions, timing, and end behavior
  6. Click Save

Experience Structure

An experience consists of:

  • Pages — individual steps or "slides" in the experience, each displaying a scene or asset
  • Transitions — how the experience moves between pages (cut, fade, custom)
  • Lighting presets — lighting state for each page
  • End behavior — what happens when the last page finishes (loop, stop, return to splash)

Installing an Experience

Experiences can be installed on a specific player, making them available as the primary program for that display. Installed experiences appear in the player's local menu and can be launched by on-site staff without needing to open Vū Studio.

To install an experience:

  1. Open the Experience
  2. Click Install to Player
  3. Select the target player
  4. Confirm

The experience is now available as a one-tap launch from that player's display menu.

Passive Mode

Passive Mode lets visitors trigger experience transitions themselves using a PIN or touch interaction, without giving them full access to Vū Studio. Useful for self-guided briefing centers or demo spaces.

To enable:

  1. Open Experience settings
  2. Enable Passive Mode
  3. Set a PIN (optional)
  4. The experience runs in an audience-controlled loop

Volume and Brightness

Each experience can have its own volume and brightness settings that override the global player settings while it's running. Configure these in Experience Settings → Volume and Brightness.

Experience Presets

Like scenes, experiences support presets — saved variations of the experience with different lighting, volume, or content configurations. Useful for running the same experience in different contexts (e.g., daytime vs. evening ambiance).

Exploring the Marketplace

Vū provides a library of pre-built experiences in the Marketplace. Browse, preview, and purchase experiences that can be installed directly to your players.

Canvas Designs

Experiences can include Canvas Designs — multi-page interactive graphics built in the Canvas Designer. A canvas design can contain text, images, video, shapes, lines, and interactive elements that respond to clicks.

To launch a canvas design directly from the Experiences page, click the Launch Canvas Design button on an experience card. This opens the design in Present Mode — a full-screen interactive playback environment — without needing to open the Canvas Designer first.

To build or edit a canvas design, go to Create in the left sidebar to open the Canvas Designer.
