Animated Backgrounds

Vū Studio includes a built-in Animated Background Designer for creating dynamic, GPU-rendered background visuals. These are procedurally generated animations — no video file needed — and can be used anywhere a standard media asset can be used.

Creating an Animated Background

  1. Go to Library → select or create a folder → click the Add Media button → select Animation
  2. The Animated Background Designer opens
  3. Choose an animation style, configure colors and parameters
  4. Click Save to add it to your library

Customizable Fluidmotion-Style Backgrounds

The animated background styles are fully customizable, Fluidmotion-style visuals. You can tailor each background to your needs — including its size and speed — using the configuration parameters above, so a background can be adapted to match a brand or fit different screen sizes. The size and speed settings are respected during playback.

Using Animated Backgrounds

Once saved, animated backgrounds appear in your Library alongside other assets and can be:

  • Cast directly to a connected display
  • Used as a background layer in a scene
  • Added to an Experience as a page asset
  • Set as the background in the Canvas Designer

Animated backgrounds render in real time on your display's GPU and loop seamlessly without any file transfer overhead.
