Player Groups

Player Groups let you bundle multiple players together and control them as a single unit. Instead of switching between players one at a time, you can play content, adjust settings, and send commands to an entire group simultaneously.

When to Use Player Groups

  • Multi-zone installations — a conference center with screens in lobby, breakout rooms, and main hall
  • Campus signage — multiple buildings each with their own display
  • Experience centers — synchronized content across a wall array
  • Event production — controlling floor monitors, confidence screens, and main display together

Creating a Player Group

  1. Go to Settings → Player Groups
  2. Click New Group
  3. Give the group a name (e.g. "Main Floor", "North Campus")
  4. Select the players to include
  5. Click Save

Team-Shared Groups

On a Team plan, player groups can be shared with the entire team — any team member can see and control the group without needing their own copy. Themes applied to a shared group are also accessible team-wide.

To share a group: open the group settings → toggle Share with team.

Using a Group

From the Display Dashboard, player groups appear alongside individual players. Click a group to connect to all players in it simultaneously.

Once connected to a group:

  • Content you cast plays on all players in the group
  • Settings changes apply to all players
  • The Cast to All button sends to every connected player

The Connection Dropdown

The connection dropdown shows all players you have access to through your team membership, not just a subset. Any player in a group that has been shared with a team you're on is available in the dropdown, alongside players you have previously connected to. When you switch into a team context, players shared with that team appear after your personal players — no additional configuration is needed to connect to them.

Themes

You can assign a theme to a player group — a curated set of content, scenes, and settings configured for that group's specific display context. Themes make it easy to switch between different looks or programs for the same set of displays.

See Cast to All → for sending content across all groups simultaneously.
