Vū Studio Release — July 28, 2026

This release brings a set of new ways to create and share content — including Microsites and the Vū AI Facilitator — alongside upgrades to the Canvas editor, Custom Scene Templates, and a first public Beta of the Vū Media Server on macOS, plus a broad round of fixes.

Planned maintenance window: Scheduled for the afternoon on release day. There should be no interruption to website availability or your online account.

Microsites

Build and share Microsites directly from Vū AI. (VU-2727)

Vū AI Facilitator

The Vū AI Facilitator is now part of Vū Studio, bringing live session intelligence into the main product — and it can automatically create sessions from your calendar events. (VU-2735, VU-2996)

Vū AI upload improvements

Getting files into Vū AI is faster and more flexible: (VU-2889)

  • Drag and drop files straight into a message
  • Attach multiple files in a single message
  • Add PDFs and PowerPoint files to the chat context

Custom Scene Templates

Create custom screen-layout Scene Templates for quick casting to set locations, and cast NDI sources, web links, and text into them. (VU-2218, VU-2433)

Team-wide Presentation access

Team Admins can now automatically see and edit all Presentations across their team. (VU-2737)

Canvas editor enhancements

The Canvas editor gains adjustable guide rulers, a new "push" transition type, and a global canvas settings panel. (VU-2718, VU-2719, VU-2789)

Vū Media Server on macOS (Beta)

The Vū Media Server is now available as a public Beta on macOS. (VU-2933)

Fixes

  • In some cases, your profile picture could fail to appear in the profile menu. (VU-1225)
  • Editing a web source would sometimes overwrite a custom name with the URL. (VU-1909)
  • Under certain circumstances, brand-new accounts could not expand Personal folders to reach Uploads and Favorites. (VU-1959)
  • Reset buttons now handle the outpoint consistently. (VU-1989)
  • 3D and 360 assets could occasionally not fill the remote preview. (VU-2040)
  • Informational messages in the Vū Media Server settings could sometimes be truncated. (VU-2222)
  • In certain configurations, an SVG icon could appear away from its configured position in a Scene Template. (VU-2403)
  • Using the same asset in multiple positions of a Scene Template could sometimes cause synchronization issues. (VU-2442)
  • Adding the base layer a second time in a new Scene could result in an error. (VU-2717)
  • In some environments, the web player could turn gray and stop responding. (VU-2748)
  • The Remote could occasionally lose the current asset when using Previous or Next while connected to a player. (VU-2861)
  • A newly created Scene asset would sometimes not update in the media modal or cast correctly in the Display Dashboard. (VU-2864)
  • Players already added could appear in the Add Player list in some cases. (VU-2865)
  • Under certain circumstances, a player could be placed behind another when created or repositioned in the Display Dashboard. (VU-2866)
  • An image could occasionally remain 2D after switching it to 3D. (VU-2867)
  • The selection indicator now appears when choosing assets from the canvas editor. (VU-2878)
  • Aligned the behavior of the release-highlights dropdown with the adjacent Vū AI dropdown. (VU-2884)
  • Unsaved scenes could sometimes load incorrectly when included in a Theme created in Planning Mode. (VU-2886)
  • Casting immediately after a Vū AI generation could occasionally send a gray image to players. (VU-2891)
  • Switching groups in the Display Dashboard could sometimes show the next group with excessive zoom. (VU-2892)
  • The Remote could lose images from the original Scene after drag-and-drop casting in Planning Mode. (VU-2893)
  • In some cases, an asset dragged to Display 2 would cast to Display 1 after switching from Live to Planning Mode. (VU-2899)
  • Vū AI search requests are now saved to history and no longer return an error in some cases. (VU-2900)
  • The Remote could occasionally show assets from a previous Theme after going live on another. (VU-2901)
  • Themes containing scenes could sometimes appear broken when switching between them. (VU-2902)
  • Under certain circumstances, the first Remote connection could select Display 2 instead of Display 1 on a player with two displays. (VU-2904)
  • Scenes now play correctly in scheduled Themes and single-asset jobs. (VU-2913)
  • Vū AI could report an incorrect unread email count in certain configurations. (VU-2923)
  • The hover popup for scheduled items now appears above the canvas. (VU-2925)
  • AI- or server-initiated Scene casts could occasionally not update the Remote, and layer adjustments could target the wrong layer. (VU-2931)
  • Deleting dynamic assets from the uploads folder could sometimes fail. (VU-2943)
  • Pause and Stop now correctly pause folder playback on a connected player. (VU-3005)
