Vū Studio Release — April 29, 2025

We have been hard at work on exciting changes to Vū Studio and SceneForge and those updates are headed your way!

The upcoming planned maintenance window is scheduled for the morning of April 29, 2025.

Improvements and New Features​

  • VU-89 Media Asset Details Info Box added
  • VU-183 In and Out points added to Video Playback (start video at point A and stop at point B)
  • VU-1033 Allow web link content as splash screen background
  • VU-1044 Stream camera preview from RED cameras to Vū Studio Remote preview
  • VU-966 Added independent volume control/mute option for videos, stored with settings
  • VU-1042 Auto enable pixel map selection mode when enabling pixel mapping
  • VU-1070 Added ability to hide layers to see how it affects the scene
  • VU-1081 Updated video generation AI engine to use Runway Gen 4 Model
  • VU-1123 Improved 3D Depth Map generation speed and quality
  • VU-911 Added ability to box select area of preview to set lighting, even when not using Pixel Mapping
  • VU-946 Allow management of scenes even when not connected
  • VU-1066 Added video playback speed slider

  • VU-1095 Added command to allow Admins to restart the Vū Media Server from a connected browser

Defects Addressed​

  • VU-1006 Asset attributes aren't persistent in a scene when that scene hasn't been saved previously
  • VU-1009 Resetting splash screen to defaults sometimes results in white background until restart
  • VU-1031 Pixel map selection on mobile requires double tap
  • VU-1036 On splash screen, Date should hide with time if Time is hidden
  • VU-1039 When switching between content and depth tabs, depth slider value jumps to 0
  • VU-1040 Sleep/Wake state sometimes becomes inaccurate if more than one person connects
  • VU-1064 Date/Time sometimes misaligned on splash screen
  • VU-1101 Audio from YouTube splash backgrounds persists after a restart
  • VU-1105 Resetting splash screen after web video keeps web shader
  • VU-1109 Unsupported format message for scenes that take longer than 5 seconds to load
