Setting Up a Team
Teams let multiple people share storage, libraries, player groups, and content under a single plan. Ideal for production companies, AV teams, universities, and enterprise installations with multiple operators.
Creating a Team
Teams are part of a Team plan. When you subscribe to a Team plan, a team is created and you become its admin automatically. To start, open the profile menu → Account, click Manage on your plan card, and choose a Team plan (see Plans & Billing →).
You can rename your team at any time from the Account page — click the pencil icon next to the team name.
Inviting Team Members
- Open the profile menu → Account
- In the Team Members section, click Invite Users
- Enter the member's email address
- Select their role: Admin or Member
- Click Send Invite
The invitee receives an email with a link to join. They need a Vū Studio account — if they don't have one, they'll be prompted to create one during the join flow.
Team Roles
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access — invite/remove members, edit wall settings, manage all team resources |
| Member | Access to shared storage, libraries, player groups, and themes |
Switching to Team Profile
After joining a team, you need to switch your active profile to use team resources. The profile selector is in the top-right or bottom-left of the app.
If your storage or token count didn't increase after upgrading to a Team plan, you may still be on your Personal profile. Switch to the Team profile to access team resources. See Team Plan Troubleshooting →.
Shared Resources
When using the team profile, you have access to:
| Resource | Description |
|---|---|
| Shared storage | Pooled storage for all team members |
| Shared AI tokens | Pooled token balance for AI features |
| Team libraries | Shared asset folders visible to all members |
| Player groups | Shared player groups for multi-display control |
| Shared themes | Themes configured for shared player groups |
Removing Team Members
- Open the profile menu → Account and find the member in the Team Members table
- Open the member's actions menu (⋯)
- Click Remove from team
Removed members lose access to team resources immediately but keep their personal account.
Team Resource Usage
Monitor how much storage and tokens your team has used on the Account page. Admins can see a per-member breakdown in the Team Members table.
