Network Compatibility Test

To ensure a smooth experience — especially before an on-site installation — we recommend that your IT team, or anyone planning to use the wall, complete a brief network compatibility test in advance. The test verifies that all the ports and services Vū needs are reachable on your network.

If any issues are encountered, they are almost always due to port or firewall restrictions that your IT team can resolve. The full list of required ports and domains is in the Firewall & Ports → reference at the end of this page.

Step 1 — Download and Launch the Vū Media Server Software​

Download the Vū Media Server software and install it on any Windows machine connected to your network:

Step 2 — Create an Account and Open Vū Studio​

On a separate device on the same network, open a browser and navigate to Vū Studio:

You'll need to create a free account using an email address to sign in.

Step 3 — Test the Connection​

With the Vū Media Server software running on one machine and Vū Studio open on another device, verify the following:

  • Vū Studio loads without errors
  • The Vū Media Server is discoverable and connectable from Vū Studio
  • No connection timeouts or blocked resource warnings appear

If the test completes without issues, your network is ready. If errors occur, share the ports and protocols documentation with your IT team — see the reference below — so they can whitelist the required domains and ports.
